MIRI: An express bus overturned yesterday at KM41 Miri-Bintulu road, leaving more than 20 passengers injured.

Amongst those injured in the 1.30pm incident were Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai Bujang’s cousin and his wife from Brunei.
The couple, who are in their 60’s and 70’s, were on a holiday trip to visit their relatives in Bintulu.
Seven of the passengers have been admitted to Miri Hospital, while the others are being treated as out-patients.
It took about two hours for the injured passengers to be sent to Miri Hospital for treatment.
The bus departed from Miri to Bintulu at about 1pm, but shortly after that the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned.
According to some passengers, it was raining when the incident happened.
